A gathering of dhikr
An evening given to the remembrance of Allāh in Massy: recitation of the Qur'an, the Ḥizb al-Baḥr and the opening chapters of Al-Futūḥāt al-Maghribiyya, then, after maghrib, Sūrat al-Wāqiʿa and Sūrat al-Mulk, the poem completed, mudhākara and qaṣāʾid.

We invite you to a gathering of dhikr in Massy, given to the remembrance of Allāh, the reading of the noble Qur'an and prayer upon the Prophet ﷺ with Al-Futūḥāt al-Maghribiyya, a poem by Shaykh Muḥammad al-Yaqoubi. Doors open at 7.30 pm.
أَلَا بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ
Verily, in the remembrance of Allāh do hearts find rest.

The programme
After the ʿaṣr prayer
- Recitation of the noble Qur'an.
- Invocations: the Ḥizb al-Baḥr of Imam Abū'l-Ḥasan al-Shādhilī.
- A reading of the opening chapters of Al-Futūḥāt al-Maghribiyya.
After maghrib
- Sūrat al-Wāqiʿa.
- Sūrat al-Mulk.
- Al-Futūḥāt al-Maghribiyya completed.
- Mudhākara (a spiritual reminder).
- A reading of qaṣāʾid (poems).
- A meal will be served to those attending.
